“March” Audio Sample
“March for Flute and Guitar” is a quirky and eccentric piece; and is from a collection of five works for flute and guitar titled “Happenstance”. There is also an arrangement for Flute and Piano; and as well as the flute part, versions have been written for: Bb Clarinet, Bassoon and Soprano Saxophone. This work is suitable for players of intermediate and above level.
The parts include ‘count-in beats and count-in notes’, which aid the performer to keep the tempo when playing against a prerecorded piano accompaniment MP3 file. These added notes would never be included when performing with a live pianist.
March is a quirky and rhythmic interplay between the instruments.
